Immediate Past President Frank Yoke III (Development | Serra Residential Center, Inc.) welcomed all on Zoom and in person to the first meeting of the 2026-2027 Rotary year and introduced Ozan Yasavur (Technical Consulting | Brown and Caldwell).
Induction and Toast
After a warm welcome, District 5150 Governor YuHui Chen read the duties and responsibilities of Club President and inducted President Ozan Yasavur. Next, DG YuHui administered the oath and inducted the 2026-2027 Board of the Rotary Club of San Francisco. Following the inductions, the new Board and the audience raised a glass to thank the new Board and to wish a year of making a difference together.

President Ozan thanked and welcomed everyone. Today's Visiting Rotarians were District 5150 Governor YuHui Chen from the Rotary Club of Menlo Park; District 5150 Governor-Elect Tony Villanueva from the Rotary Club of San Mateo; Past President and Past District 5150 Governor Peter Lagarias (Law: Franchise | Retired) from the Rotary Club of San Francisco; and Past District 2430 Governor Emre Ozturk. Today's guests were Matters Adams-Grgiorrieff, Larry Boblitt, Torrance Bynum, Lauren Dias, Sasha Froyland, Bill Gregory, Merle Işık, Bonnie Joy Kaslan, Cassandra Kühn, Alexis Rico, and Joseph Senninger.

Meet President Ozan
President Ozan’s Rotary journey began in 2017 at the age of 24 when he was a Rotaractor with the Şişli Rotaract Club in Istanbul, Türkiye. He joined the Ankara Bahçelievler Rotary Club in 2019 and the Rotary Club of San Francisco in 2022.

President Ozan talked about his Board Retreat in June 2026. His goal for 2026-2027 is to grow the Club and grow the good that we do. New this year will be the use of Slack and Google Workplace to stay connected.

Club Survey Results
President Ozan shared the Club survey results. 31 members participated in the survey. Three themes emerged: the importance of a strong, engaged foundation; what members enjoyed and wanted more; and where the Club could improve.
$25 for Twenty Five Seconds
Vice President of Development David Folk shared that over $1,400 were donated today. Thank you to all for your generosity.
Special Thank You
President Ozan expressed deep gratitude to the following who helped make today's Luncheon and his first meeting a success:
- Ann Daugherty for designing the beautiful centerpieces and generously donating the sparkling wine.
- Robert Hunter (Event Planning | Hunter Events) for coordinating the event logistics with the Hotel Nikko.
- Past President Mary Liu (Real Estate: Sales | JM Real Estate Group, Inc.) for organizing the dove pins and coordinating with the Hotel Nikko.
