Rotarian of the Month
Congratulations to James Horsman (Public Policy | San Francisco Chamber of Commerce) who was honored as Rotarian of the Month for August 2026. James joined the Rotary Club of San Francisco in March 2026. Previously, he was a member of the Rotary Club of Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. While at the Capitol Hill Club, James served as Club Service Projects Chair in 2021-2022 and as Club President in 2022-2023. In the brief time that he has been a member of our Club, James was our luncheon speaker on July 14, 2026 and made artificial intelligence genuinely useful. New Paul Harris Fellow
Paul Harris (1868-1947) founded the first Rotary Club in Chicago in 1905, hoping to bring some of what he treasured from his rural Vermont upbringing to the big city. Rotary would not exist without his vision of a group of business professionals who helped each other by helping others. For each $1,000 donated to The Rotary Foundation, a person can become a Paul Harris Fellow. Our Club was proud to award a Paul Harris Fellowship + 7 to Past President and San Francisco Rotary Foundation President Christopher Wiseman.
Christopher joined our Club in March 2019 and served as Vice President of Development and then as our Club President in 2022-2023. He was also the District 5150 Paul Harris Society Coordinator from 2023-2026. Christopher is currently the President of our Foundation. This year, Christopher celebrated his birthday by running to raise money for Rotary. See full story here. Recently, Christopher stepped forward to reactivate the Anti-Human Trafficking Committee. See full story here. Thank you, Past President Christopher, and congratulations!
