Most people join Rotary for the service opportunities or the potential for business networking. But long-term members report that what they value most about Rotary membership are the friendships we develop with each other.
We enjoy spending time together.
In addition to our regular luncheon meetings and ongoing service projects, members have fun together in many different ways, including dinners at our homes and in local restaurants, private tours of museums and other cultural institutions, baseball games, music and theater events, golf outings and ski trips.
But it doesn't stop there. All Rotarians around the world share a basic bond of respect and friendship. As a Rotarian you are welcome - expected, really - to attend a meeting of any of the more than 34,000 Rotary Clubs in more than 200 countries and geographic locations., where you will likely be treated as a valued friend. Members of our club have been treated to last-minute invitations to a wedding in Istanbul, a private sailing trip in Sydney Harbor, and a family dinner in Minnesota.
