President Frank Yoke III (Development | Serra Residential Center, Inc.) called our Club's monthly Evening Meeting at MoMo's to order and shared the agenda.
Welcome to Our Guests
Our guests this evening were Onur Bayindir, Basil Burnstein, and Roza Erdemli. Welcome!
New Paul Harris Fellows
Paul Harris (1868-1947) founded the first Rotary Club in Chicago in 1905, hoping to bring some of what he treasured from his rural Vermont upbringing to the big city. Rotary would not exist without his vision of a group of business professionals who helped each other by helping others. For each $1,000 donated to The Rotary Foundation, a person can become a Paul Harris Fellow. Our Club was proud to award a Paul Harris Fellowship to:
Eric Orantes (Transportation | Retired), and
Yana Sharma (Software Sales | IBM).
Eric joined our Club in June 2025, and you can find him volunteering at almost every Service Project that our Club offers. Yana joined our Club in June 2024 and will become our Club's Vice President of Community Service on July 1, 2026. Thank you and congratulations to both!

Join us for our Club's next BUSINESS NETWORKING meeting and enjoy an evening of productive and fun networking. There is no charge to attend this meeting, but each attendee pays individually for food and beverages ordered at Pier 23 Cafe Restaurant and Bar. Please register yourself and your guests so that we can plan the space. Note the new location.
Join us for a special morning of fellowship, nature, and service as we tend to Rotary Meadow in the heart of Sutro Forest. This event is especially meaningful as we will gather for a memorial tree-planting activity to honor the life and memory of Nikki Hoogasian, wife of Rotary Meadow founder and past president of our Club, Harold Hoogasian. Advanced registration is required.
Join RCAT & SFSU Climate HQ for a Climate Justice Service Day at Native Plant Nursery. Get your hands in the soil while making a real difference for climate resilience in San Francisco's Bayview-Hunters Point community. Lunch is provided.
Join us at our third annual iftar — a dinner to break the fast during Ramadan. Experience an evening filled with warmth, cultural exchange, and delicious cuisine as we celebrate the Rotary spirit of unity and diversity. This event is open to all Rotarians, visiting Rotarians, prospective members, and guests. Space is limited to 40 guests, so be sure to sign up now.
This annual assembly provides a great deal of training and planning for the Rotary Year that begins on July 1, 2026. All Club members are invited, and all Club leaders are strongly encouraged to attend. Come and cheer for Ozan Yasavur as he begins his year as our Club's President.
In recognition of Women’s History Month, our next DEI Film Festival movie is Miss Representation, a powerful documentary on how mainstream media contributes to the under-representation of women in influential positions by circulating limited and often disparaging portrayals of women. Popcorn and beverages (with and without alcohol) will be available during the screening of the film. We'll have a group discussion over dinner after the movie ends. This is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the themes of representation, leadership, and gender equity and to consider how each of us can help create a more inclusive media landscape.
Come and enjoy the fun at our 16th Annual Bike Build event! We'll be assembling 130 brand new bikes for distribution to kids in Kindergarten through 4th grade in the Bayview Area of San Francisco. Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, partner organizations, friends, and family are all welcome.
On Emergency Services Day, the Rotary Club of San Francisco honors the outstanding men and women who keep our City safe — the heroes of the Fire Department, Police Department, Sheriff’s Office, Coast Guard, and Paramedics. Come and be moved by their incredible stories, show your appreciation for our local heroes, and enjoy a delightful evening as you mingle with some of San Francisco's finest. This is one of the most anticipated events of the Rotary year — don't miss out!
