President Ozan and Vice President of Membership Kayla Trunecek welcomed Bill back this evening. Please welcome Bill when you see him at our meetings and events.

Dixie James, a retired Special Education teacher, joins us to share her inspiring journey and challenges in raising a daughter born with Down syndrome and heart disease from birth to adulthood and from dependence to being able to live independently.
Join Family House, a grant partner for the Rotary Club of San Francisco. Our Club will sponsor a catered dinner for that evening. Volunteers will help support the evening, participate in a cleaning project, and spend time with approximately 70 Family House families and staff. Event is limited to 10 people, and Rotarians may bring a guest. Volunteers are encouraged to wear Rotary-branded attire that can get dirty, as well as layers to be prepared for multiple weather conditions.
Everyone who knew Jean Schore is invited to attend a Celebration of Life, organized by her family, beginning at 11 AM in San Rafael on October 3, 2026. A light lunch will be served.
Jean, who passed away on November 11, 2025, was a member of our Club from October 4, 1994 until June 26, 2017 when she moved to Eugene, Oregon. Jean was very active and built many lasting friendships in our Club. She created Rotary Means Business, which has since grown into a Rotary Fellowship. Jean served on our Club’s board as Vice President of International Service and traveled to several International Service projects. She hosted many Club dinners, committee meetings, and social activities in her beautiful home on Vallejo Street.

In honor of the Labor Day holiday weekend, there is no Rotary Luncheon on September 8, 2026. Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

Attendees will be able to get better acquainted with each other as well as with a few Club leaders and longer-term members. The evening promises to be fun and informative.
Del Seymour shares his journey as an African American Vietnam veteran who was chronically homeless and incarcerated for 18 years to his recovery and founding of Code Tenderloin in 2015.
Recognizing Healthy Aging Month, our next DEI Film Festival movie is the Oscar-winning On Golden Pond, that explores the challenges and joys of multi-generational relationships within a family. We’re experimenting with a new format for this film, asking that you view it on your own and then participate in a Zoom discussion at 8 PM on Wednesday, September 23. Please consider sponsoring a “watch party” by inviting friends, family, and/or Club members to view the film with you. All are welcome to join the Zoom discussion.
Join us for our Club's NEXT EVENING MEETING where we will conduct some Club business, have dinner, and enjoy Rotary fellowship. There is no charge to attend this meeting, but each attendee pays individually for food and beverages ordered at MoMo's. Please register yourself and your guests so that we can plan the space.
