President Frank Yoke III (Development | Serra Residential Center, Inc.) called our Club's monthly Evening Meeting at MoMo's to order at 6:45 PM and shared the agenda.

 

Our guests this evening were Erik Greenfrost, Daniel Lesavoy, Carlos Meraz, Nicholas Meza, and a few walk-ins. Welcome!

 

President Frank asked us to take a moment to remember and celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He began with this quote from Dr. King: "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." Next, President Frank showed highlights from the famous I Have a Dream speech.

In attendance were Gary Dales, Ann Daugherty, Dora Dye, Stephen Geisheker, Bob Hermann, Tim Hornbecker, Margaret Miley, Maureen O’Shea, Hana Xu Wang, Darlene Wilson, Ozan Yasavur, and President Frank Yoke, constituting a quorum. Absent were Stellie Kim and Wendy Shew. Our guest was David Dye.

 

The Board approved the October 28, 2025 meeting minutes.

 

Note: Normally, there is no Board meeting in the month of December. This special meeting was called to approve two items so that these items could move forward immediately.

For more than 40 years, the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival has made the words and themes of Shakespeare accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity, financial status, or level of education. Come and hear some Shakespeare, and learn more about SF Shakes.

Join us for a special visit to the Black Spaces: Reclaim & Remain exhibit at the Oakland Museum of California. The exhibit explores the resiliency of Black communities in the face of frequent displacement. Our visit includes a curator-led tour, some time to view and contemplate this intriguing exhibition, and a discussion over lunch from the museum’s excellent Town Fare Café. We’ll be joined by Johwell Saint-Cilien, immediate past president of the Rotary Club for Global Action and Video Producer at the museum.
