In the early days of Rotary, one of founder Paul Harris’s primary objectives was to organize a club where business people could openly talk about and promote their businesses. Our club was founded by followers of Paul Harris who thought this spirit of cooperation would ultimately improve conditions throughout San Francisco, which was recovering from the 1906 earthquake.
The Rotary Business Roundtable was formed more recently to provide a modern way to further the vision of combining the exchange of business information with the call to Service Above Self.
Meeting Format
Most meetings starts with a one-minute opportunity for individuals to introduce themselves and their businesses.

Local Rotarians interact at The Rotary Bsiness Roundtable
|
One or two Rotarian speakers have the opportunity to make a 10-minute presentation to educate others about what’s new in his or her industry and how it affects clients or customers.
Our goal is to have the Rotarians in the Business Roundtable gain more business and, as a result, voluntarily commit to contributing a portion of the proceeds earned from this networking opportunity back to the Rotary Club.

This year, we have introduced quarterly meetings with a different format. Each of these quarterly meetings explores one element of The Four-Way Test with a thought-provoking presentation and discussion. In September, we are exploring "Is it the TRUTH" with a presentation about how business law defines (and doesn't define) "The Truth".
Who's Eligibile
The Rotary Business Roundtable is open to Rotarians from clubs throughout San Francisco. There are 18 – 22 members attending each month; many have already done business with each other and have discovered one more vital opportunity to learn, earn, and give to Rotary.
Vision Statement for Rotary Business Roundtable
The Rotary Business Roundtable encourages Rotarians to leverage the wealth of knowledge and expertise in Rotary and the broader business community for the mutual benefit of Rotary and its members.
The Rotary Business Roundtable is the place where Rotarians focus on the business-related facets of their relationships with each other by providing a discussion forum where Rotarians can:
-
Learn more about the products and services offered by fellow club members.
-
Seek, receive, and offer assistance with questions about the management of businesses and careers.
